Winnie the Pooh, also known as Winnie the Pooh, is a fictional teddy bear created by A. A. Milne, a British writer.
The first collection of stories about the character is Winnie the Pooh (1926), followed by house in the corner of Pooh (1928). Milne also wrote a poem about bears in children's poetry, "we are young" (1924), and there are more in "now we are six" (1927). E. H. Shepard describes all four volumes.
The story of Winnie the Pooh has been translated into many languages, including Alexander Lenard's Latin translation of Winnie LLE Pu, which was first published in 1958 and became the only Latin book to appear on the New York Times bestseller list in 1960.
When Disney adapted the story of Winnie the Pooh into a series of features, Disney gave up the hyphen at the beginning of the character's name, which became one of its most successful franchises.
In popular film adaptations, Pooh was spoken in English by actors Sterling Holloway, Hal Smith and Jim Cummings, while Yevgeny Leonov spoke in Russian.
