Eagle is a general term for many large Raptors of ACC family. It belongs to several categories, not necessarily closely related to each other.

Most of the 60 species come from Eurasia and Africa. Outside the region, only 14 species can be found - two in North America, nine in central and South America, and three in Australia.

Eagles are large, powerful Raptors with heavy heads and beaks. Even the smallest eagles, such as the Aquila pennata, are comparable in size to the common vulture (Buteo Buteo) or the red tailed Eagle (B. jamaicensis), with relatively long and evenly distributed wings and more direct, faster flight - although with fewer aerodynamic feathers. With the exception of some vultures, most eagles are larger than other raptors. The smallest species of eagle is the South nicoba snake Eagle (Spilornis klossi), weighing 450 grams (0.99 pounds) and 40 centimeters (16 inches). The largest species are discussed below. Like all raptors, eagles have very large hooked beaks that tear flesh from their raptors, strong, powerful legs, and powerful claws. The beak is usually heavier than that of most other raptors. The eagle's eyes are very powerful, with a vision of up to 3.6 times that of humans, which enables them to find potential prey over a long distance. This keen vision is mainly due to its large pupil, which ensures the minimum diffraction (scattering) of incident light. All known Hawks have larger females than males.

Eagles usually build nests on tall trees or high cliffs, which are called small nests. Many species produce two eggs, but older, older chickens, once hatched, often kill younger siblings. The dominant chicks tend to be females because they are larger than males. The parents did nothing to stop the murder.

Because of the size and strength of many eagles, they are the first natural enemies in the world of birds. The type of prey varies by genus. Haliaeetus and ichthyophaga Eagles prefer to catch fish, although the former often catches various animals, especially other waterfowls, and is a powerful kleptoparasite of other birds. Snakes and hawks of the genera circaetus, terathopius and Spilornis mainly prey on the diversity of snakes in tropical Africa and Asia. Eagles of the genus Aquila are usually the top of the open habitats, and they can prey on almost any medium vertebrate. Where there is a lack of eagles, other eagles, such as the dingblack black breasted B eagle in South America, may be the top predators of raptors in open areas. Many other eagles, including the species rich genus Spizaetus, live mainly in woodlands and forests. These eagles are usually aimed at all kinds of arboreal or ground dwelling mammals and birds, which are usually ambushed without accident in such a dense and complex environment. Hunting techniques vary by species and genera, and some hawks employ a variety of techniques at any given time, depending on their environment and prey. Most Eagles catch prey and fly with it without landing, so they can lift it up and tear it to pieces.
