Cheburashka, also known as "top ple" in earlier English translation, is a role in children's literature, which originates from the story of Soviet writer Eduard Uspensky in 1966. He is also the lead character in Roman Kachanov's freeze frame animated film (by Klara rumyanova), the first film of which was made in 1969.
Heburashka (Russian: ЧЧбххшшш ка) is a typical cartoon character in Russia. Later, he and his friend Gena the crocodile became popular characters in Russian jokes. According to the creator of the character, Eduard Uspensky (1965), Cheburashka is "an unknown animal in the scientific community," with ears as big as monkeys, bodies similar to cubs, and lives in tropical forests. He accidentally entered an orange box. He was full and fell asleep. The boxes were eventually transported to the grocery store in an unnamed Russian city (later Moscow), where the rest of the main story unfolded.
The confused store manager found the creature in the box when he opened it, then took it out and sat on the table. The creature's claws became numb after spending so much time in crates, then fell off the table ("ччбххххххххххххххххххххххххх. This inspired the store manager to name the animal Cheburashka. Words with this root are old in Russian. Usbesky gave them a new life. (Vladimir Dahl, the great living dictionary of Russian explanations, gives the meaning of "Cheburashka" as another name for the tumbler toy.
