Vitali volodymrovych Klitschko (born on July 19, 1971) is a Ukrainian politician and former professional boxer. Since June 2014, he has been mayor of Kiev and head of Kiev municipal government. Krichenko is a former leader of the petro Poroshenko group and a former member of the Ukrainian parliament. He took an active part in Ukrainian politics in 2005 and combined it with his career in professional boxing until retiring from the sport in 2013.
As a boxer, krichenko is the third world heavyweight champion, the second longest WBC heavyweight champion in history, and the second longest joint world champion in history, which is 2, 735 days, is the third time since the personal white blood cell heavyweight champion defense nine consecutive wins, and in the modern heavyweight history, 15 consecutive championship contests is the longest combination of the four consecutive times in history. From 1999 to 2000, he won the WBO title. He won the title of "ring" magazine from 2004 to 2005, and won WBC championship twice from 2008 to 2013.
Klitschko is 2.01M (6ft 7in) tall and is known for his outstanding ring advantage. His knockout rate is 87%, which is one of the highest among any world champion in heavyweight boxing history, and he also has a highly durable chin. His two turnovers were caused by shoulder injuries and deep over the eyes, both of which were recorded as stoppages rather than complete knockout. In both competitions, he was at the top of the referee's scorecard.
Klitschko is the only heavyweight boxer to win the world championship in three different years. Like Oliver McCall, he is the only world heavyweight champion who has never been knocked down in any battle. Crichenko and George Foreman are the only heavyweight boxers in history to defend the world championship after the age of 40. Klitschko is the first professional boxing world champion to obtain a doctor's degree and is famous for his powerful punching ability. He is "doctor Tiequan". His brother, Wladimir, is a former world heavyweight champion. From 2006 to 2015, Vitali and Wladimir dominated heavyweight boxing, a period often referred to as the "krichenko era" of the sector.
Crichenko officially began his political career when he won second place in the Kiev mayor's election in 2006. In 2010, he founded the Ukrainian Union for democratic reform (udar) and was elected a member of the party's parliament in 2012. He was a key figure in the euromaidan protests of 2013-2014 and announced a possible presidency of Ukraine. Later, he withdrew and supported Peter Poroshenko. He was elected mayor of Kiev on May 25, 2014. Krichenko was at the top of the list of winners of the 2014 parliamentary election of Petro Poroshenko bloc in Ukraine, but he gave up his seat in Parliament and continued to be mayor of Kiev. On August 28, 2015, udar party was merged into petro Poroshenko bloc. As a result, crichenko became the new leader of the party. Crichenko was re elected mayor on November 15, 2015.
