Goblin is a terrifying creature from European folklore, which was first proved in medieval stories. According to the story and the country of origin, they are endowed with various and contradictory abilities, temperaments and appearances. They are almost always small and grotesque, mischievous or downright malicious and greedy, especially for gold and jewelry. They usually have magical powers similar to fairy tales or demons. Similar creatures include brownies, dwarves, duels, dwarfs, imps and dogheads.
Other spellings include goblin, goblin, goblin, goblin and goblin.
The English goblin was first recorded in the 14th century, probably from the unproven Anglo Norman goblin, similar to the ancient French goblin. It has been proved in ambroyce of Guerre Sainte in Normandy around 1195, and in the Latin gobelinus of the central century of orderic Vitalis before 1141. In Normandy? The name of the demons or daemons that haunt the country around vreux.
